I was invited to my best friend's husbands 60th birthday celebration. I arrived just when the food was being served, but thanks to the articles I have read in Spark People, I prepared a head of time and ate vegetable soup, green beans and sautéed cabbage before I went to the party. I was still full on all of the vegetables I had eaten. I was not tempted by any of the food at the party. Not even the birthday cake! I was there for about an hour and I only consumed 2 glasses of water! That was a v-i-c-t-o-r-y for me! I usually can't resist food when at a social gathering. I'm so pleased with me for this accomplishment.
