get real

is the message I woke up to rolling around in my head this morning. get real with your goals. get real with your parameters. get real with this experience of reconnecting with yourself; your motivations and your patterns. Yesterday, I did all the sparkpeople housekeeping activities. I learned about the program, set up a page, reached out to some folks who seem like minded, read some articles, dove into blogging. I even tried a beginners dumbell program; which is why I am now sore, and moving slowly and thrilled about it! However, I never got on the scale. Well, this morning I got on the scale and realized that my body weight was ten pounds more than I had put as my worse case scenario, yesterday. Instead of feeling defeated, I was ok with it. I had read a number of blogs from people who started out with much larger goals than myself and were successfully making changes in their lifestyles and relation to food. This knowledge of the journey of other folks made it ok. In order for this to work for me, I need to stay true to the experience. So, I changed my weight tracker, logged my breakfast, drank some water and sat down and blogged. That's about as real as I can get for now.
