We are in for a Hot One!

Monday, June 24, 2013

Well. the weather has finally turned once again and we are definitely in for a hot one. We are supposed to have at least three days in a row over 90 degrees. Yesterday wasn't supposed to be one of those days, but it was. Today you can already feel the humidity in the air. So, who knows what it will be like by the time I am ready to meet my walking partner and go for a walk tonight. Fortunately, we have an indoor location we can use as a backup if the weather really does not permit an outdoor experience. I am looking forward to getting the week started on the right foot.

Happy Monday, everyone!

Too hot for my liking but you gotta do what you gotta do. I carry ice water, a wet bandana around my neck and find a nice shaded place to go. Locust Lake State Park has a wonderful macadam path around it and I can get an extra bonus of a swim when I'm done if I want. Woohoo!
    Keep cool and keep moving!

Here come the hot days of summer. Great you can find a time to walk that works for you! Sometimes we get up very early too. Grateful for the chance to swim when I can get it! Have a great week.

Glad you have a backup plan. Once summer gets here, it can be hard to find a cool day.
