I like the new me. Happy so far. Did maintain quite well for the last 4 weeks.
This weekend was a blast - I mean, a blast out of my normal calorie range.
I overdid everything there was to overdo - I think it's to do with reaching 1 month. But becoming complacent is not an option. That's why I'm mentally preparing myself to stay vigilant for month 2.
I have to stay the same for month 2 as well otherwise the whole journey was for nothing.
The calculations I set myself were far off - as no one day is the same as another and I can't eat 1700 some days, I eat a lot less and some days its 2000, so it's not easy to say I'll have 1700 x 5 days and 2200 the rest of the 2 days.
So I've gone on auto-pilot and just estimating a sensible calorie range for the remaining days of the week on and off.
How? Well say monday was 1800 - I take that out of my total allowance for the week and divide by the remaining days to get my daily allowance. Ooops, Tuesday was worse, I ate 2000 that day, same process again, take away what you've eaten so far in 2 days minus total allowance for the week and divide by remaining days.
And so on and so forth. Seems to be doing the trick. Now I know I blew it this weekend and had 5,000kcals, so I'll deduct this from my total allowance and divide by the remaining days. I get an average of 1500kcals for the rest of the days - so I know if I squeeze in more exercise I'll be able to nudge that to 1700kcals per day again.
So I'm always tweaking, adjusting, re-adjusting etc. If I know I can't get ANY exercise in this week then I'll eat on my lower range for the week and still stay the same despite the huge splurge last weekend.
Very flexible - always changing.
Oh yes, by the way we came 3rd in the cupcake competition. Apparently there wasn't any cream or frosting on my cupcakes so they didn't look as appealing.
