Getting closer to my WV farming adventures

Monday, June 24, 2013

This week my cousin Johnny came up from LA to help with things at the Sacramento house. It has been so wonderful to have his help and company. I'm now down to finishing the cleaning/de-cluttering and staging of the home office, breezeway and garage area. The "for sale" sign goes in the yard this week, YIKES!

During the visit we've been talking about the 25 acre 'farm' I'm moving to and remembered photo I took on the Seneca Trail/WV Route 219 of a stuffed dummy hanging from his barn loft with one foot still on the top of a ladder. This photo kind of sets the tone for my next adventure as a domestic goddess & farmer in THE Mountain State! I'm getting excited & scared.

My home project exercise continues, but had a run in with "tapioca w/raisins" (a family comfort food) twice this past week. Having company, just brought it on.

Ciao for now.

That's such a great picture. What a weird and wonderful sense of humor farmers have!

Moving towards a new life -- exciting, scary all at the same time! Decluttering & downsizing takes so long, doesn't it?!!! I am working on that at my house, & sometimes I don't think I've made any progress at all, even though I know I have.

Are we gonna have coffee before you leave forever?
