Glob: training for 1/2 marathon

I am trying to get ready to run (wog) a 1/2 marathon the middle of next month, but the most I have done was 5 miles a couple times a week. But I have been blessed with Rachel, who always encourages! {{{Rachel}}} (those are virtual hugs) I got out and did 11 miles this morning and did much better than I though. I was only planning on about 7 miles. Thanks Rachel! You are my running guru!

    You are ready, Debby! Your schedule should show one more long run two weeks before your marathon. Short runs a couple times a week and your good to go. Embrace it and have fun!

    Alright way to go! I am training for a half also and today was a rest day for me. Boy is that tough, rest......what? I actually went out for a walk and about 15 min into it we had torrential downpours. So I guess I have a forced rest.
Keep training and keep us updated, would love to hear how you make out!

    Wow, five miles a couple times a week sounds really good to me. I am trying to be a jogger, for my husband's sake, and possibly my daughter's too. I can't imagine doing that many miles though! That's cool you are planning a half marathon!
