So far things have been going ok training for my 5K's. I haven't been getting in as many works as I was in the beginning, but my schedule has been shifting around with the Little League season ending, so I'm still working on a new routine.
Tomorrow I plan to wake up early and get a run in in the morning. I'd like to start doing that a few times a week now. Usually I've been going during lunch with a friend or after work/little league. But Little League is finished now, and I'm slowly entering a new level and going with my friend during lunch will hold me back, and I need these trainings to matter because I'm not just jogging for fun, I'm jogging with 5K's on the horizon. So I figure that I will get my work outs in during the morning before work, and when my friend and I go during lunch (on different days than my morning jogs) I can stay with her without getting anxious about not pushing myself more.
I have a canoing trip coming up with work peeps, then I come back for a few days and head out to go camping for a week (can't wait to try jogging on those dusty trails!!!), then I'm back for a couple of weeks before I go camping again for another week, then in 3 weeks I have a 5K that I can walk/jog with a BBQ after, then a month after that is a 5K, then 2 months after that is a 5K.
This summer is becoming a very active summer, and I'm so happy about it! My only problem is that I'm not losing any weight. My binge eating, lousy portion control, food mentality is supremely getting in the way. BUT - now that Little League is over I will be able to go back to Weight Watchers on a routine basis again, and am very happy/excited about that!!!
