Yep, 12 minutes. That's what I did on the elliptical today, plus 25 crunches and a 30-second plank hold. That's it, that's all I could manage at the gym.
And that is freakin' awesome!
Because I went to the gym, that's why! I haven's been to the gym since...wait for it...February. And then I only went once! I haven't been to the gym more than five consecutive times since October. October!
I went for a short walk with a friend between rain showers, and did some housecleaning. It felt good to be active most of the day!
Still eating vegan, too, which is feeling good. I'm not gonna lie--the stomach/bathroom issues were rough the first few days! I ought to have made a more gradual transition, probably, but things are alright now, no harm done.
Yesterday was my first meal out with my new eating, and it was after a volunteer fence build. With veganism as the guideline, I couldn't overdo it! There was only one thing on the menu I could eat (tofu scramble), so I had that and one 12 oz beer--a far cry from the spinach & artichoke dip and two bloody marys I had the last time I went out with the other volunteers! Plus, this build actually required a fair amount of landscaping, so I did some heavy time with cedar chips and a wheelbarrow, surely getting in some decent activity. Plus all the cuddling with the dog we were unchaining!
