Wow it's hot here today. emoticon Temps in 90s with high humidity. I think it's going to continue.

Had a nice morning with hubby. Went out to breakfast and did a couple of errands. Cooked a casserole for dinner and getting ready to go to the pool.

Phone rings. My mother's caregiver did not show up.... again! She was upset and turns out hadn't eaten her lunch. It was a little after 1pm. I went down and called the agency manager. Yet another software snafu. OMG! So sick of the excuses. My mother told me I should fire them. LOL! But I reminded her that she likes most of the caregivers so that wouldn't work. They could not get another person to cover until 7pm so the manager/owner came down.

While I was there I discovered that the A/C is not working. Not sure if the unit died or what. Hubby will check it tomorrow. My mother is always cold and is happy with just a fan. Her house was pretty cool (no humidity) so I think she'll be okay. The other caregiver will probably suffer. This A/C is only about 5 years old. I can't believe that it died!!!

Did get to sit by the pool for a couple of hours and read some magazines.

At least you live close. We always had to drive a ways to get to my mother. My brother and sister live in Chicago so there was no counting on them. I know how frustrating this is.

As they say, "it's hard to find good help", especially when it comes to taking care of our loved ones. So sorry you are finding that out the hard way. Hope they get that straightened out very soon for you and your Mom.

On a bright note, glad you got to enjoy the pool again! Hope your week goes well!

Your caregiver service sure sounds frustrating! It is very irresponsible of them to make these mistakes. We had 32 degree weather here too (that's your 90). It was feels like 38! Very warm!

Oh, I'm sorry that the caregiver service doesn't always do what they should. It's good that it didn't disrupt your entire day though. Enjoy that pool!

Always something isn't it. UG. I hope the air conditioning is ok and the cargiver situation straightens out. Glad the manager/owner showed up. That at least says something. HUGS!
