Summer Challenge Goals

I've done a lot of thinking (more than usual) over the past couple of months about my personal health and my goals. While initially my goals always centered around just losing weight I've noticed a slow transformation over the past year towards being healthy mind, body, and soul. Health is more than just weight but it is who you are inside and out.
With this summer challenge my goal isn't necessarily to lose weight but to shift my lifestyle to a healthier one. Making healthy food choices when dining out with friends or coworkers, keeping up the exercise whether or not I can make it to the gym after work, keeping myself hydrated, but above all, my goal is to be an example to my friends and family who are suffering weight and health problems themselves. To show them that with a little bit of dedication and determination they can change not just their bodies but their lives as well.
We all have our good days and bad days and it's learning to take the good things and letting them outshine the bad that is the most difficult step in anyone's journey to better health. But, after achieving this shift of mind we start to realize that not only are our goals now achievable, but we begin to actually reach them.
