I went for a long walk last year with a friend of mine who was training for the Avon 3-day. I couldn't make it all the way. But when I got home, I checked my pedometer and saw that I was around 39,000 steps. I have been in the 20s and 30s lately - which is above my 17,000 steps per day goal.
Thursday, I ate horribly because we were away for the first time for the year. So I had to go to my favorite fried food place and favorite bakery. I had the worst heartburn and indigestion ever. It was horrible. I got sick too, but not too bad. I vowed to make up for it on Friday, which I did. Here's the break-down:
17 min. walk to library and back
34 min. strength training
92 min. weighted hula hoop
77 min. walk with hubby
TOTAL: 45,368 steps for the day!!!
1,587.8 calories burned
Then, to bring me down after being so happy about what I accomplished, I gained a few pounds. I can't win. I just wanted to share this accomplishment with all my Spark Buddies!
