The graduation party was a huge success. They had it catered and it was a pig roast. He also did a chicken over cherry hickory. Oh it was so good. They cut the head off the pig after the was cooked, put a cigar in the mouth, sunglasses on it and a top hat. They had two of the graduates, Brianna being one stand behind the head. Brianna's Uncle Jim offered the girls $10.00 to kiss the pig but they wanted $20.00 so they didn't kiss the pig. I have pictures but they won't be developed for awhile. Could only buy a disposable camera with 27 pictures. Tomorrow she graduates. I hope it doesn't rain so I can go and get pictures.
When we got to the party, Brianna came and greeted us. I turned around and there was a man talking to my brother. I looked again and it was my nephew Tyler. He sprouted up since I saw him in December and his voice got so deep. I had to look twice. He gave me a big bear hug. I love that kid. No more Justin Beaver haircut, now he has a butch. Brianna sat with us for awhile and opened her presents. I have a picture of her with the quilt. My Mom did something so she can get autographs. She was quite happy. She like the necklace her Dad gave her and the locket I have her. Kim, my older niece gave her money and made her a bracelet.
Someone bought Brianna a hat that had streamers and horns. She said she was going to wear it to accept her diploma. She wore it for quite awhile. I have pictures of that too. She was a good sport letting people take pictures.
The food, OMG, the food. Of course the main attraction was the pig and chicken. There were salads, and baked beans, chips, cole slaw fruit salad and more. For dessert they had cannolis, cookies, chocolate covered strawberries, some things I don't know what they were but looked good. As we were saying our goodbyes, they brought out the cake. They had a picture of the 3 girls when they were smaller together on the cake. It was beautiful. My Mom forgot her medicine and wasn't feeling all that great. My stomach was not feeling all that great. I hadn't eaten all that food in a long time. Chuck is really not all that comfortable around his ex inlaws so he wanted to leave 20 minutes after getting there. We were there for about 4 hours.
It is hard to believe that almost 18 years have gone by since I received a phone call a little after 6 am on September 4 1995 saying Brianna is here. She has red hair and is absolutely beautiful. She was in my arms shortly after that. She has been in my heart ever since I found out they were expecting her.
Brianna----I love you. You are very special and I know you will make a fine pediatrician. We make me so proud.
