I have had a slip disk in my back, and I have been doing pretty good taking care of myself, and a week ago. my pain is a 10, can not stand or walk, I am doing a lot better now. and I am doing more exercises with my exercise ball. I depend on my exercise ball to help me stretch out my lower back. and I lost a few pounds. only 5 lbs. but that's a start. I'm scared my back will start to hurt again but I will keep exercising, I feel happy that I can stretch my back out and be safe about it.
