Pretty chill day today. My husband is prepping for a super busy schedule, so he took the girl for some lunch today for some daddy/daughter time. And I got to go to the store ALONE without worrying about the kids at home by themselves. (Although the boy is very responsible, they're siblings. I always get a full tattle report upon arrival back home.) I found a new salad dressing, some kind of delicious lemon/basil vinaigrette. Working on translating the nutritional info now, lol. That's the problem with the wonderful food here, half the time I have no idea what I'm buying, and even when I do know (this had a lemon and basil and a salad drawn on the label) sometimes the nutritional info is per serving and sometimes it's per 100 grams. I really wish I had time to truly learn Japanese, but between full time (plus) work and two classes this semester plus being a single mom A LOT, it's just not feasible. So I just figure out what I can and make do. I can't imagine how families with picky eaters survive. My kids love trying new things and would rather eat local, so eating is never a problem. Just figuring out calories!
