I started the day early by stretching with my KBs. It felt good to loosen that stiffness. I need to do that more often!
Part of the Paleo lifestyle is Paleo fitness. Running as fast as you can in short bursts, climbing, lifting, playing...I dashed across the street on my way to work. I park almost entirely at the other end of the block so I had a fast walk after the sprint and it felt so wonderful!
I could not decide which of several options to do during my 2 hour lunch break. Walk past one shopping center to the next and back? Walk to the credit union car sale just to look? Or go to another shopping center and shop and eat? The last option would not offer enough exercise so I ruled that out. What? Me? CHOOSING exercise?! What is up with that?!
I decided I would get a fresh salad and then walk to the credit union. But I tripped over a crack in the sidewalk and had a four point landing. Palms and knees. I had less trouble than usual getting back up. I walked to Subway and got the salad. Thoroughly enjoyed it except for the price. I am going to start bringing my own and hope the ice trays will keep the salad fresh for about 5 hours. Fit and Fresh containers have ice blocks you can put in the containers.
I ended up with over 10K steps and over 3 miles, though not all at once.
I feel so much better than I did! I now know what a "quiet gut" is. My starting-to-be-consistent Kettlebell work is contributing to a feeling of more strength and looser clothes.
The sales managers are angling for the GM to give me hours on Sunday. Four hours would help the pocket book, but it would mean I would be working 7 days a week. If it's offered, I'll take it. Time will tell. The good side to that is another day when I am "forced" to walk!
