Life Changes

Saturday, June 22, 2013

I just noticed that I celebrated my one year gym membership anniversary (June 11). I remember going to the first water aerobics class. I enjoyed it but the other members talked all during the workout. I have grown so much since then. I've taken a variety of group exercise classes - Zumba, weightlifting, Master's Strength, Jazzercise & RIPPED classes. I've also run a 5k.

On most days I exercise at least 2 hours - one hour in the morning and one in the evening. And now I'm about to seek Zumba certification. One of my church members remarked last night, that I should videotape the moves I had the kids doing and make a exercise dvd! Some days I don't recognize myself!

I was going through some pages on the Spark website today and according to my BMI- I'm still obese. I don't feel obese; in fact I've not felt this healthy since high school. I didn't gain my weight until I graduated college and moved out on my own. I was lonely; 2 hours away from my family and I ate to "comfort" myself.

An kid exercise DVD, maybe with some Christian content......???
Could be used as curriculum at VBS. Would allow the kids to have movement and religious education all in one! They probably get restless and this would help. Plus it would promote physical activity and movement rather than sitting. I think that is a great idea. You might be able to avoid music licensing issues. You probably know more about that than me. Yes, I think you could definitely look into this.

You have developed into quite a force for good!!!!!!!
