Weigh-in today: 219
For twenty-plus years I've been lying on my driver's license, but now, at least for today, I weigh less than what's on my driver's license (220).
This has been a short-term goal for me: to weigh what it says on my license.
My goal for the 5% Spring into Summer Challenge is 217. There are two weeks left in the challenge. I've been at this for 21 weeks and lost 35 pounds. That's about a pound and a half a week, so I should be able to make it.
Of course, I'm only about a third of the way toward a "normal" weight and BMI. I'm 5'8 and "they" say I should weigh 165. But, this slow and steady weight loss is the way to do it, right?
I am going on vacation for eleven days (a driving trip to several different places in Arkansas and Missouri). I have packed healthy snacks, I know what to order in restaurants, and I plan to walk every time we change drivers.
I am very grateful to SparkPeople and the Beautiful Butterflies and ESPECIALLY MY SISTER MLH148 for all the help and support and knowledge and encouragement. Before SparkPeople I NEVER counted calories or fiber or sodium. I had not been consistent about moving-every-day FOR YEARS. And I really, really hated and felt guilty about the way I looked and felt.
But now I am choosing something different now.
