Back in September 2011 I weighted it at 205 and wore a size 20. I did not do any exercise if you did not count lifting my fork to my mouth. I did not eat healthy, I ate out at restaurants and fast food places. Yes you can eat healthy at these places but I did not know how or really cared. I had a problem with my feet and did not do any walking if I could get away with it. I had surgery on both my feet and was bed ridden for 3 months. When I was able to walk again I was weighed by my doctor and was shocked to see my weight was above 200.
I came home and cried myself to sleep. The next day I got on my computer and looked up diets. The first I found was Spark People. I checked it out and saw it had a lot of good information and I was Sparked. I read about nutrition and fitness. I not only just read about it I started doing some thing about it. I started making better choices at restaurants and cut my fast food eating from everyday to once a month. I started walking and riding my exercise bike. I could not do this for very long at first but built it up over time.
As of today I have lost over 33 pounds and now wear a size 8 shorts.
I workout almost everyday doing some type of exercise. I am on a streak of doing exercise for 365 days on day 256. I plan my meals eating whole grains, lean meat, fruits, vegetables and low fat dairy. I am going to be healthier than I have ever been in my life and I owe it all to the help I have gotten here on Spark People.
