Funny story about my mindset change

Saturday, June 22, 2013

We're going to to a surprise b-day party tonight for a friend at Love and War in Texas. As usual, I went to the internet to look at their menu to figure out what I want to eat beforehand.

I saw on the menu that they have this contest that if you eat 5 stuffed Habanero peppers, you get them free and you also get this t-shirt. Let me just say, that I can eat really HOT, SPICY food. I know this would not be a problem for me.

My husband asked if I was going to do it. I told him that I would, if the peppers weren't fried and stuffed with cheese and cream cheese. In the past, the fried part and the cheese would not have even phased me. He just smiled and thought that was funny!

I think it's pretty funny myself!

UPDATE: I did not do the challenge. Maybe some other day, but it does not fit my life and my goals right now. I did have a nice piece of tilapia with a habanero sauce. It was delicious!

Habanero peppers--no problem. Fried with cheese inside--no thank you.

Fish I can handle. Spicy food I can't. Great job on the changes you've made. I like the fact that you look at the menu before going to determine what you are going to eat.

That gives me indigestion just reading about it! Wonder if you could get them to give them to you without the stuffing....
