Great day, 5 miles walked, over 15,000 steps and more work, GREAT!!

Friday, June 21, 2013

We accomplished a great deal.
I took the old desk to the scrap yard and DH took out his wallet and asked the man how much. The man said WE PAY YOU. !!!!!!

I knew that from yesterday but did not say anything because I was not sure what the lady meant. She said we buy scrap metal.

DH was happy it would have cost us over $20.00 at our dump and the man unloaded it as the lady said he would.
I asked about the old noisy although useful treadmill could be a
scrap metal and he said sure. So we will be rid of more clutter.

DH is taking down his MODEL Railway lay out, I could cry but he says he really wants to do it since he no longer can see well enough to keep it running so it will be taken down tomorrow.
Then we will move my gym out there and the exercise room will become a bedroom if we need it in August.

We have revamped the garage cleaned it up , thrown out all kind of stuff we did not need. I slept over 8 hours. I walked the trail again with my same walking buddy. I began Sparking at 8-30pm so now I must get to bed.

Thanks for comments on my Blogs I love to talk to all of you Pat in Maine.

Sounds like you are well on your way to being ready for your anniversary visits. It always feels great when I de-clutter everything and generally I donate or find someone who needs the things I don't need anymore.

Great Job!!

Sounds like you are doing great cleaning out. I imagine it is hard to see the model railway taken down. Hope you take photos before dismantling it.

Congratulations on Your 5 Mile over 15.000 Steps. Maybe the Boys when they are home would want to play with the train with DH. Something to consider before it comes down. Hope DH Eyesight improves a lot. Maybe he needs the same eye surgery you had. That would help his sight if that is the case. You are really cleaning things out. You won't know the place. It will be Beautiful when You are done. God Blessings to You, DH, and Everyone. Have a Super Nice Fun Day. Take Care!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In this day and age, there are a number of places that pay you for your scrape metal. Keeps it out of the dumps and is recycled. Good job!!!

Sorry about the model trains. I still have all my husbands things and not sure what to do with them.

By the time your all done with your "cleaning", it's going to be like living in a new place. Nice that you're getting a new exercise room out of all of this.

Anxious to see what you do today!!!

hugs....Mary Anne

You two are amazing!! You have really made significant progress in cleaning and "tossing"!! I envy you! (maybe you'd like to come visit me? emoticon On second thought, I probably couldn't keep up with you!!)
So sorry to hear that his eyes have gotten to this point. MD is a very sad condition, bringing lots of losses. He seems to be dealing well and he is realistic and practical. It is hard to watch though! Hugs to you both!!

Wow you have been busy. It's sad to see something like a train set coming down. I loved them as a child and wanted my hubby to put some up, but we never had the space until the children were too old and had other interests. I appreciate he wants to take it down. I'm sure he'll do it lovingly and with much reminiscing.
Take care of yourself busy lady.
