I can now wear size 8 jeans! I started two years ago in size 32, so that tells you there is a whole heck of a lot less of me now. It felt so good to put on those size 8 jeans and have them fit perfectly. I celebrated today, by going for a run and then going kayaking this evening. I never in a million years would have imagined I would be able to wear an 8 someday.
Kayaking was great this evening. Winds were minimal so Lake Erie was calm. She was definitely in a gentler mood than the last few times I have been out on her. We went 8.2 miles in under 2.5 hours. We are gradually covering the entire coastline from Ripley to Buffalo. My brother calls it a completion bias. My run this afternoon went well too. I didn't have much time, so I stuck with the 2.1 mile loop. I finished in 17 minutes. Sunday I will go to the 3.2 mile loop. The 5k is next Saturday (6/29), so I am changing my run schedule for the week from Mon/Wed/Fri to Sun/Tue/Thur. That gives me the day before the race off from running. I figure that just makes more sense.
Now I am going to boogie a little to celebrate my size 8s!
