Let There Be Light...

Friday, June 21, 2013

For 3 days, we have had the electricians here to install lights in the
ceilings of the living room, den and our bedroom. Now DH is a happy
camper. He can see to read without the floor lamps now. Since we
have lived in this house almost 33 years, we just now got around
to it. We found out that each room had overhead lights years ago.
Why would you go to table lamps only is beyond me. He also
rewired in the basement, adding outlets for the freezers and 2
new ceiling lights so we can see in all the dark corners. I am
very pleased with the work and it will be worth whatever he
charges. The poor guys had their hands full with this project.
I am fighting a virus on my computer at work and need SIL to
help me figure it out. It has been tying my hands and trying my
patience for the last 2 days.
But, on a happier note, I took time to get a haircut today. This
was after I had helped DH spread grass clippings in the garden
but before I milked the nannies. It is one thing to smell sweaty
but quite another to smell of goat when you go to see your
hairdresser LOL!
We had quite a bit of nasty weather go past us to the north.
Reports of a dozen tornadoes, lots of hail and strong winds.
At least one elderly woman died in a town about 150 miles from
here. The wind is really blowing now and we anticipate some
thunderstorms coming out of Nebraska. We'll ride out the storm
but hope we only get rain.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend. Shed some
light on your journey with healthy choices each and every day.
HUGS!

I have a hard time seeing so the more light the better we have overhead ceiling fans in each room probably around 20 years old. lol brother in law is an electrician so we should replace each with a better model I still use floor lamps with the overhead and it is still to dark for me lol, hope the storm passes you by have a nice day

Am assuming you have antivirus on your computer...best is probably to go into safe mode and run the av software from there...if you don't have antivirus there are several free ones that are really good...whatever it is hope you get rid of it soon...I have battled a couple in the last couple years...ugh!

I'm like you....like why would somebody go to lamps from "in-ceiling" lighting on purpose?! I guess to each his own, but glad your DH will be happier now with his ceiling lighting!!
Yay on the haircut! I'm just hoping to get mine washed today! hehe (These are the things you can do when you have a sweet DD with a cosmetology license and doesn't mind doing little things for ya!) She keeps my hair colored and will do whatever I'd like (and I frequently give her artistic license! hehe) Yeah, don't guess you'd want to do that to your hair stylist, huh? Eau de goat?! lol!
I do hope you get (only) a nice rain! It's a shame there are such terrible storms involved everywhere!! I get nervous every time the sky darkens!
Will pray for your safety!!! Have a great day, my friend and stay safe and healthy!! (((HUGS)))

Only rain would be good.... I'm sitting here monitoring a work process and seeing the TV scroll those thunderstorms north of me, likely South of you...

Yikes on the work computer virus! Hope THAT gets resolved real quick.

Spark a great weekend!

So glad that the storms are passing you by Marsha. There have been some real severe ones this year! So did you get a new style for your haircut? Are we going to see a picture? Hope your weekend is wonderful!

Doesn't it feel great when you get a project completed. More lighting has to be a wonderful thing. After we get things done doesn't it make you wonder why you waited so long to do it???
Glad the storms missed you but sorry to hear of someone losing their life. Stay safe.
We had a thunderstorm yesterday evening and lightning took out a transformer here and some of the park was without power for over an hour. We were one of the lucky ones and only had a blip.
Have a wonderful weekend.
Pat
