I was half-hoping that since it is summer, my paycheck MIGHT have come early (often in the summer they do put the money in early because the finance dept. wants to take long weekends - especially since yesterday was a State Holiday - WV Day). If it had been there, I wouldn't have to have the entire weekend without a car. I live way out in the country and so no walking to the stores, no running to the pool, no way to get to church. Oh well - you know my theories about lemonade - I will survive and make it through until Monday. Ed will survive too. Just getting really antsy about wanting to get out and see other people. My best friend's phone, internet, and power are also waiting for payday and it means we can't even chit chat. At least I have my electricity and internet. Life COULD be worse. LOL
Anyhow, I hope everyone has a super, spectacular, summer Saturday tomorrow. I plan to do my best to TRY to do the same.
Today my eating has been good and the heat that returned with high 80s and really high humidity, have made today one of the nastiest days without AC. I plan to have a lovely soak in a cool tub and then head to bed before too late.
Everyone STOP, take a deep breath and breathe in the fresh summer air, notice the fresh smells of flowers blooming, green grass, and trees weighed down with lovely green leaves - everything fresh and clean from the rain showers and sun bursts of my day. I look out and see the wildlife starting to stir tonight as darkness as fallen. If I listen closely, I can hear the crickets, see the lightening bugs, and smell the flowers. Take time to relax and let go the hassles of the week. Nothing is so pressing that it cannot wait until next week. We will survive and our lives will be enriched by NOT allowing stress, anxiety, or worry to steal away the beauty that the Lord has created just for us.
Now, let the breezes clear your head as they are clearing mine. Allow the music of nature sing its songs of summer to serenade you as you get ready for sleep. Enjoy the darkness and look up to see the stars scattered through the sky giving just enough light that the doe standing on the edge of the yard perks her ears up, sensing the possibility of danger but not moving because we stand just inside the doors watching quietly. Close your eyes and let the angels kiss your eyelids to ensure you will sleep well tonight. Awaken tomorrow with a sense of peace, no urgency or worry to spoil your fresh super spectacular, summer Saturday morning. Maybe you will awaken in time to enjoy the sunrise over my back field and stretch your arms up in gratitude and joy.
