I've been really focusing on my strength training this time around! I still have running goals I want to accomplish, but I'm not only doing cardio this time! I know the value of strength training so I've been lifting weights 3-4X a week. Last leg day was KILLER! I could barely stand haha. Here are my stats right now for some of the basic exercises I do.

Bicep curl - 8X20lb
Triceps Kickback - 10X12lb
Deadlift - 12X60lb
Shoulder Press - 12X12lb
Hamstring curl - 10X40lb
Squat with 40lb barbell
Leg press - 12X180lb
lunges with 30lb barbell or 20lb kettle bells
Chest press - 12X15lb

I ran 5k on the treadmill yesterday in 35min. It's not as fast as I'd like, but I'm getting there. Also there are no hills on a treadmill so i might be even slower outside. I'm running stairs again tonight, I'll aim to do another 3 sets. Then tonight I'm going out to play some pool, maybe have a few drinks with a friend of mine =) I'm excited!

Can you vary the incline on your treadmill to mimic running hills?
