Well that seams odd to write for me. 5k race. Yah I do those, but usually after a swim and bike ride. 5k is a warm up run for me. I'm not meaning to brag or sound snobby. But when you've gotten to the level of Endurance Athlete (even if you are a slow one) a 5k run isn't some thing I normally pay to run in now.
This race is a special one for me. Two years it was the very first run/race I did. Little did I know that it would spark something in me and I'd take off from there. I did not do this race last year as I did a bike ride instead. This year my friend and I are back to do the run again. She did it then too, but we were not friends at that point in time.
I have been training and training and training. I have a few goals for this race that I'd like to make.
1) PR the course. (This should be easy, as 2 years ago I did it in 44:15)
2) I would like to PR my 5k. This means, under 31 min.
3) My ultimate goal, is for Under 30!
Oh and this will be after my husband takes me on a bike ride tomorrow morning.
