I've started my new motivation board system of tracking. To start, I have two small sticker charts as mentioned in an earlier post. I'm focusing on four small goals:
1. Taking 10,000 steps per day (as of 1:36pm I am at 6,539 steps).
2. Exercising for 10 minutes a day (14 minute Leslie Sansone workout completed)
3. Track all food eaten.
4. Eat 3 different colors of produce a day (I had cherries for red so far).
When I complete every task for the day, I get a princess sticker on my second chart. If I fill out the entire chart, I get an extra two stickers. If I complete any one task for four consecutive weeks, I get an additional two stickers. I also will get stickers for weight loss: 5 pounds=1 sticker, 10 pounds=2 stickers, 15 pounds=3 stickers, and so on.
Every 25 stickers on my second chart, I get a small reward that's under $15: inexpensive jewelry, a Vera Bradley keychain, an inexpensive top, etc. When I fill out the chart of 100, I get a larger reward.
I've also added my first post-it note for my exercise streak, and I plan on adding monthly pictures of my progress (which will likely change to posting pictures every other month as time progresses and the board gets too full). I'll add the starting picture to this blog since I haven't printed it yet. I'll do that as soon as I'm done posting.
So, what do you think? I'm still working on some of the kinks, but so far, I'm really liking this system. I'll change the charts and such as time progresses.
(Yes, I went to Target to take before pictures. That top is a size small. Obviously, it doesn't even come close to fitting.)
