Life is a journey and the journey can be hard when you are carrying around 30+ pounds. I'm a teacher and work with 6 and 7 year old kids. Those kids wear me out! So I decided this summer to try to get some of this weight off. Maybe I should get outside! Right!
I took my grandson to the park the other day. I bought him a ball, the big bouncing kind you find at Target in the big cage (getting the ball out the cage is another story). He is 4 years old and has a lot of energy. He wanted to play with the ball but (duh) I was afraid he would chase it into the street. I thought it would be a good idea to play kickball with him in a place where he could run around. Maybe after he would take a nap.
We get to the park and my grandson starts kicking the ball around. I tried (as hard as I could) to kick it back to him BUT by the time I'd get to the ball, he was already there kicking the ball someplace else. I raced around (feeling like I was toting around a cow on my back. He thought it was fun that he could beat me to the ball. He didn't know how hard his granny was trying.
I said all that to say, "I'm back!"
