Tomorrow June 22 is a day I have been calorie banking for sometime. My niece, Brianna is having her graduation party tomorrow. It is so hard to believe that she is graduation high school and will go off to New York to college for premed in August. Where do the years go. We are all very proud of her. She is going on a sports scholarship. Already the college has sent her exercises and training that she is doing. Brianna is a very determined, focused young woman and she will get through what she has to do with flying colors. Just like she always has.
My Mom made her a beautiful quilt to take to college with her. I tried to post a picture but the file is too big for the site. I am very disappointed, I wanted everyone to see what a beautiful quilt that she made her beautiful granddaughter. My Mom is very talented. At 87 years old and still making quilts. It was suppose to be an autograph quilt that Brianna would have friends and family sign. My Mom didn't know that she should have had Brianna have everyone sign it before she put the backing on. Once the backing has been put on, it can't be signed anymore something about running and ruining the quilt. It is still a beautiful quilt and I am sure Brianna will treasure it. My brother, her Dad bought her a sapphire heart pendant and I bought her a SS locket that she can put a picture in to take to college with her. My Mom asked her if she was ready to leave home and she hesitated then said I guess so. She will be so busy with studies and soccer, then ice hockey that she won't have time to be lonesome. New York is not that far from CT. I am sure we will be going to games and such.
I can only imagine what Brianna's parents are going through. Her maternal aunt and uncle raised her. They probably are so proud, excited and yet sad. I am sure they will miss Brianna. I know Tyler will. Even though they fight, he loves his sister. Maura and Bryan have two children, Jack and Tanner. I am sure they will miss Brianna. Brianna has been with them since their births, so that is truly their sister. I am sure there will be tears tomorrow. Then Monday is the actual graduation. I am going to take pictures. I hope it isn't raining so the graduation will be outside and I can see her graduate. I am so proud of her.
I think I may have to go topless because my chest is just so big with pride.
This is a picture of my niece Brianna, her brother Tyler and my beautiful, wonderful, thoughtful, best Mom in the whole world taken Christmas Eve 2012(just my honest opinion of course)
