What are you learning? What are you experiencing?
Due to Carpal Tunnel surgery on May 28th, I have learned two arms work much better than one. I have needed to simplify my eating preparation. Second week wasn't half as bad as the first week after surgery. I'm on week three of recovery, and I still can't slice cheese safely.
I do not have an excuse for eating junk food now. As a matter of fact, I'm actually losing weight. Eating 2 pieces of turkey bacon, 1 large egg and a piece of toast with 2 tsp. of margarine for breakfast was fantastic. Buying chicken breast, stir fry veggies and brown rice seems to be working well for me.
Planning meals and buying the foods that will help me in my health/weight goals is where I am finding success.
Diet, alone cannot be the sole contributor to the success that I am starting to experience. Exercise is the cause of effect also. Don't get me wrong. I'm terrible with keeping a precise schedule. Turning on music motivates me to do jumping jacks, side steps, toe touches, planks, leg lifts, etc. (I am sorry to say push-ups, pull-up and high-fives are temporarily against my doctors orders right now. haha) I'll be fine. It's just going to take some time to heal.
I'd like to read about meal idea's, exercise idea's and such. Please share your idea's.
