Car Blues

My car has been giving me challenges. The 'Service Stability Track' message intermittantly comes on. When the message is on, the car 'vibrates' and doesn't run smoothly. When it goes off, the car runs fine. It has been to the shop 3 times. The biggest problem is as this is intermittant - lasting 1 1/2 hr to 1 1/2 days, Service is having a major problem figuring out the issue. Unfortunately, the computer in the car hasn't stored the problem.
As the car is under warranty, it's not costing me money - just a major inconvience.
1. Getting to the dealer when it is open. (I work 6AM to 6PM most days.)
2. I have handicap license plates - arthritis x 43 years and advised to have double knee replacements 18 yr ago, Rental cars don't have these.
3. My car has a built-in GPS.
4.. The steering wheel adjusts in my car which makes it easier to get in and out of the car.
5. Bluetooth enabled in my car.
You get the idea.

    Sympathies about the "little tin god" clerk at the vehicle licensing office who declined to issue the portable tag along with the plate, and oh, do I ever get the reality that sometimes you just don't have the energy to "teach school" today to someone who is being intransigent. I'm sending up prayers that a sensible & well trained tech figures out how to use available equipment to solve the auto difficulty, even if that just means having the sanity to replace a major component because it isn't self-diagnosing properly. It sounds to me as if you're using your available resources in the wisest and most sensible way to make an orderly and responsible transition.

    Well, for the handicap problem, you do not have to stand in line to get a handicap placard..

If I lived closer I would lend yo my GPS that is portable..
what a pain...

    I hate vehicles because if there is a problem I can't even problem solve. Riding a bicycle is fun but not practical for long distance for me. I hope the problem is solved soon.

    BTW: I forgot to say that they have had it this time since 6/12 when I dropped it off after work.
Ever day that I've checked on it, I'm told my car 'is behaving' making it more challenging. They're going through all the memos from the manufacturer of any reported simular issues. Today, they had 'the engineer' going over it. I didn't even know dealer's had engineers!

    Ditto the hopes. What if you left it with them in the morning, had them drive you to work, and then they test drive periodically through out the day until they figure it out?

Or call Click and Clack, the Car TAlk Guys??
