I worked out today. Usually I am so beat by Thursdays that I want a day off. But I really am trying hard. I just hope tomorrow isn't too bad because of today.
I did my hour of Zumba, 30 minutes of Dance Central. But I was pretty tired afterwards, and my hand still is sore, so weights didn't appeal to me today. I know I need to work on my core. So I pulled out a pilates DVD that I have yet to try.
It was okay. I don't really care for the instructor, and it's mostly 3 to 5 minute segments smushed together to form a "workout," though I wouldn't call it that. I did two 10 minute workouts. The ab and butt 9 minute video had the core segment repeat in the second 10 Ab with weights workout. Oh well. Thought I didn't like the video, it was a good workout. And I was surprised at how well I was able to do it.
A few weeks ago, I couldn't lift my legs up while lying on the floor. Now I could do the "One Hundreds" and some of the other pilates moves. I had problems with the twists, but I'll get better. The butt part, was, for lack of a better term, sad. The SparkPeople 6 minute butt blasting video is SO much better. I didn't feel much with my video, but it's good to know what works and what doesn't.
I also did a yoga video because I felt a little off. It really helped me calm down and feel centered, as cliche as that is. It wasn't a workout yoga type of video, more like a meditate/stretch video, so I didn't count that to my workout minutes.
That was about it for today. I am going to eat some mac and cheese, which I have been wanting for a while. Lets hope I can find something to go with it!
