Someone at work brought in those mini Tootsie Rolls. I don't know WHO..but a POX on his house I say! A POX (a nod to Mr W. Shakespeare)!! Those things are irresistible to me. Not only are they soft chocolate goodness but they come in at like 130 calories for 12 (of the mini or midgees). The problem is that I had way too many while telling myself they weren't THAT bad calories wise. So now I set here feeling guilty for eating them. And thinking I'll need to hop on ye olde treadmill later tonight.
And tomorrow is the picnic at work. So I'm going to have be VERY careful there too. Maybe a chicken breast sandwich minus the bread? Or just a hamburger patty? I'll miss my workout too as I have to be in the cafe at 8:30 Am to help set up and then stay after to help clean up. At least it sounds like I'll get a lot of steps in.
I already had over 10K by lunch time today.
Dinner was good last night. I like the nights I can come home to the crock pot holding dinner all warm and ready to go. Last night it was roast beef with potatoes and onion. Add some beef stock, some seasonings and it's good to go. I cut small red potatoes in half and put them on the bottom, then put the roast on them. This keeps the meat off the bottom of the crock pot and it doesn't get over done on the bottom. It was a small roast, I try to only make them big enough for the two of us. I made some gravy with the juice in the bottom of the crock pot (using Wonder Flour to thicken it). Oh and I added some baby peeled carrots. All in all it was a good dinner. I topped mine off with a Quickie cake in a Mug (with some Cool Whip Frosting). This week I've kind been off my good habits of the last two weeks and it's showing on the scale. It's not really moving. The same 1-2 pounds up and down. My own fault I know.
