A busy day...

Thursday, June 20, 2013

Yikes! I couldn't sleep last night because I came across a Roasted Chicken recipe on sparkpeople.com recipes and I had a hankering for it around 1:00 am this morning!

I conquered that hunger with some thin pretzel sticks and decided to wait until today to make it. I am still pondering if I'll eat the skin or not.

I haven't ate much at all today because I had to run to Wal-Mart and pick out a pedometer. I took back my streaming media player so I could get it. I went to Wal-Mart right after my workout and I didn't eat before going. And, as you know - the walk around Wal-Mart can be very tedious for someone my size. I even made a point of parking around the opposite door so I could get more exercise.

I now have blisters on my toes from walking so much. I look at them as "battle scars"! LOL

I am waiting for the chicken to get done and I most likely will not eat the skin. I will have some cauliflower instead of potatoes.

I am not going to undo everything I've worked so hard for - for some chicken skin!

Also, when I couldn't sleep, I came across some new black jeans that I bought back many years ago. I couldn't fit them last year. I couldn't even get over my legs.

Well, last night... I put them on and I could put them on, but I couldn't zip them... yet. I might have been able to zip them if I laid on the bed - but the next time I try them on, they will fit easily!

Be someone's inspiration today - you can make a difference!

Have a blessed day! emoticon

good job of not eating that chicken there is a lot of fat and calories in them.
you can bake or boil it with skin on but always, I mean always remove it before eating.great job on the walking and parking farther away from store so you had to walk.
also great job on getting into those black jeans , emoticon and you soon will be zipping them up.

No chicken skin here, mainly because it grosses me out. My Mom never cooked with it, neither do I. So I can be thankful that the fatty stuff isn't in my plan ever. The chicken does sound good though.

Good for you going into battle and walking! Works for me! MJ

How did the chicken taste? I'd stay away from the chicken skin, too. I've heard that's where most of the fat is (and the calories!)

    You're doing great!

Just wanted to say a thing about pedometers. I have bought a bunch before I got my Omron from Amazon. It is $20 but I've had it for 8 yrs and works great. It is even better than the ($50) FitBit that I won in January. If you find you don't like the walmart one (several walmart peds that I had were horribly inaccurate, counting 40 steps when I pushed in a chair) you might want to invest in this one.

I feel like a pedometer salesman but I've got a pet peeve against them. I put out so much money until I got the Omron. And the Omron doesn't have to be "perpendicular" to the floor to be accurate. I just put it in my pocket.
