So, it's been such a long time since i blogged any progress! i went off the rails a bit - had a big social week and gained a pound or 2 and, unfortunately , let it get the better of me and gave up :0( i gained a lot of weight. I was down to 16st 9lbs and went up to 17st 7lbs in the space of about a month.
BUT i am back on track! Last week i started using myfitnesspal - much like sparkpeople it lets me track my food and exercise but works on my phone (sparkpeople's app wasn't good for my old blackberry) so now i know what i am eating before it goes in my mouth, rather than writing it down and logging it later - too late!
Last week i lost 9lbs!! Using myfitnesspal i set a target weight loss and it tells me how many calories i should consume in order to lose 2lbs a week (my BMR), and using my HRM i can track what im burning at the gym (which i am THOROUGHLY enjoying being back at!!). I actually find it really fun to see the numbers (sad, i know!). Plus myfitnesspal produces a chart tracking your weight which is also fun to see - i respond well to visuals ;0)
This week has been strange though, even though i've been under my calorie target every day - through managing what i eat and exercising to balance those net calories - i've not lost any weight yet! i'm hoping a big number will drop off at the end of the week!! Not to worry though, i'm enjoying being back at the gym so i'll take whatever comes.
I broke the screen of my laptop this week (oh sh#t!) so am using our very old one in the meantime which isn't very good for photos, or much!! so i haven't been up to my usual blogs, but i'm hoping it'll be fixed by next week and i'll be back on track and catch up with you all properly!
