Dieting On The Go

Yesterday I ran around with my mom in Annapolis to an appointment of hers then we did some shopping. I knew that we would be eating out so I took my Calorie King book with me. It was actually pretty easy to find things I like to eat that weren't terrible for me. First we had lunch at Ihop, and because of the way the 3 hour diet works and the time I had gotten up and stuff it was a lunch/snack combo meal, so I had 700 calories to play with. I ended up getting the short stack (410 calories) with the sugar free syrup (30 calories a serving), plus I didn't drink soda. I drank unsweet tea with sweetener. As for my afternoon snack I had a 22 oz Aunt Aunie's Lemonade (180 calories) and split a salted pretzel with my mom (185 calories). I didn't even use my book for my snack! I just took and educated guess. I was pretty pleased with myself because normally, big shopping days like that with mom mean I binge, so the fact that I didn't is a huge thing for me :)

    Way to go! I am still trying to figure out how to make eating on the go work for me. Thanks for helping me see that it can be done!
