Why I Love Exercise!

I thoroughly enjoyed my Boxercise interval class with Dani yesterday morning. I could still actually skip rope too after such a long lay off! But boy, did she work us with some new routines, one legged squats with overhead weights, one legged lunges with weights, I could feel the stress on my muscles! A good looking guy came into the class late and ended up at the back beside me. When we were doing the one legged squats with overhead weights, he had to take frequent breaks, we were both using 5 lb weights and I am proud to say I only released the hold once on my left leg as I still have issues with the muscles there. After that morning class I was really loosened up and could feel the warmth of my metabolism burning brightly for hours afterwards! It felt so very good to get a full on, hard sweaty workout!!
Later that evening, I went on to take a low impact & sculpt class and then my Zumba.
But alas, it was perhaps too much to ask of this ailing body too soon. The next morning DOMS hit, fast and furious :P No exercise today, enforced rest day. Absolutely every muscle from shoulders to legs were screaming :P But NO arthritic pain!! Actual real, normal human being muscle soreness, not disease induced. Still felt good, knowing I pushed my body to the limits and just got normal soreness and no injuries or flares from it!
I can't say enough how much better it feels to be moving then just sitting around. I get more pain from sitting too long then I ever do from a fitness class or an at home workout.
Hopefully, I will recover enough to take step tomorrow, I can only hope, but am pretty sore in the legs, something I am NOT used to as I work my legs pretty hard.
There is no drug as good as the natural endorphin high of exercise! Find your favorite fit and reap the rewards!
