Getting Better!

Today, I noticed I am finally getting stronger, it's like my old body has risen from a forgotten grave!!! It's been years, but I can do pushups, mount climbers, jumping jacks, situps and jog. I am not pushing myself too hard, actually going so lightly that I don't injure myself. But while I am doing aerobics, I kick it up a notch for a minute or two, with the plan to go at least 3 - 4 minutes for interval training.

I am doing excellent planning meals and have strategies that allow me a few treats every now and then. Not like it used to be where I would have a dessert every night, and often times during the day.

I actually think out the days meal plans in the morning and try to strategize so that I have calories available at night. The only reason I do this is so I can enjoy dinner with my husband. It's working and I don't over eat, but my biggest meal is at night and I try to eat as early as possible.

Also, I know my stomach has shrunk. I just can't eat a lot of food. I try to envision a small plate when I eat and keep the proportions small.

In the past, I suffered from a horrible sweet tooth, but I am tracking and keeping it at bay. I had a dessert tonight of 1/2 cup of lowfat icecream and will probably do this again once over the weekend.

I've started drinking herbal tea again today, and I also like the health benefits. When I started a month ago I would only drink water with Crystal light in it, but it has aspertame in it. So for a few weeks now, I have been drinking plain water without anything added to it. I used to drink Crystal Light all the time but it was the only way I would drink water. Now, I just drink my 8 glasses of plain old water every day and then have herbal tea on top of that . I hope I don't float away!

So, what I've learned as that I progress through my nutritional changes, I use some things as a crutch for a while, such as Crystal Light, and fake sweetened creamer in my coffee, to where I don't use them anymore. I plan when I am going to quit them and stick to the plan. I did for a few weeks, but now I have moved to a higher plateau. Black coffee and plain water for me!

My next step is to filter my water with a Brita filter, and drink more herbal teas rather than coffee.

Lastly, I am trying to figure out my end weight, I am still not sure if it's going to be 145, 150 or somewhere in between. I don't want to lose my girl curves, so I am planning to build lean muscle. I am not sure how this is going to work out, so hopefully, I will replace my fat stores with more lean muscle, then I won't worry about weight as much. I know that being super thin is in but I think I look like Olive Oil from Popeye (all arms and legs) if I lose too much weight.
