Had a good day! Yay! I'm feeling so much better. Went back to work today. We had an all-staff meeting this morning...and my co-worker and I received a recognition and gift certificates for the work we put in on a special project. That was a nice, unexpected, and very appreciated surprise. It really helped with my feelings as of late. Yay!
My co-worker walked with me again at lunch today. That was nice. I read in our AARP magazine that walking and talking with a friend or co-worker is a defense against Alzheimer's disease. The walking is a good cardiovascular exercise...and walking with a friend or co-worker encourages good mental interaction as you are talking and making conversation. So, good for us!
After work, I donated plasma and had a good "poker" who did not put the needle in too far and hurt me. Another bonus! It's the first really "good" plasma donating experience I've had for a couple of weeks...so I am very happy and relieved about that.
Then I came home and had supper with DH. I recorded all my eating after supper. I should have recorded sooner because I went over slightly...but I'm not beating myself up about it. I'm glad I recorded it all and will be careful to record sooner to prevent this from happening again in the future.
After supper, I was watching Hope Springs (I got a free Redbox rental)...and I knew Mia and I had not gotten our walk in and it didn't look like it was going to happen because it was getting late...9 pm...but then I saw her sad puppy eyes. I went and changed into my tennis shoes...paused the movie...and took her for a short brisk walk. She did great! She trotted right along. It actually helped that it was dusk/dark when we were walking because she didn't get hot and overheated. Yay, again! Then I came back home and finished my movie and then finished my stair flights. A good day!
Hope you all had a good Wednesday! Keep up the good work! Thanks for the encouragement! Spark on!
