I know it may sound crazy but I am so thankful to be exercising almost daily again. I've found several activities that I enjoy and can switch them up depending on how my body is feeling to make sure I'm getting good exercise regularly without it being a burden or boring.
I run or run/walk 3 or 4 days a week
I do martial arts 1 or 2 days a week
I do kettle bells 2 days a week..will probably add BodyPump back in as a strength training alternative in the coming weeks. Those classes are just not at convenient times for me right now, but I miss it.
So, some days I do multiple workouts and some days I do one and I try to have 1 day where I rest completely. At some point, I'd like to add swimming as another alternative, but that will have to wait for now. It just feels good to be exercising with pleasure again. I may not wake up excited to do it everyday, but I'm ALWAYS glad I'm doing it once I get going...and you can't beat the feeling afterwards!
