Insanity Test and Month 2 Start

Wednesday, June 19, 2013

I haven't had time to blog in a long time. I figured now is as good a time as any.

I completed the first month of Insanity and loved it! I only lost 4lbs total but my clothes are fitting a lot better so I think I have lost inches. I just don't have my first measurements with me. Going to take some measurements tomorrow so I have an idea of my month 2 results.

I started month two on Monday and was impressed on my fit test numbers. Here are my first 3 fit tests and their numbers so you can see how I have improved.

Switch Kicks - 87
Power Jacks - 55
Power Knees - 87
Power Jumps - 40
Globe Jumps - 11
Suicide Jumps - 20
Push-up Jacks - 18
Low Plank Oblique - 64

Switch Kicks - 120 (up 33)
Power Jacks - 57 (up 3)
Power Knees - 96 (up 9)
Power Jumps - 50 (up 10)
Globe Jumps - 11 (same)
Suicide Jumps - 23 (up 3)
Push-up Jacks - 25 (up 7)
Low Plank Oblique - 76 (up 12)

Switch Kicks - 127 (up 7)
Power Jacks - 66 (up 9)
Power Knees - 105 (up 9)
Power Jumps - 54 (up 4)
Globe Jumps - 12 (up 1)
Suicide Jumps - 24 (up 1)
Push-up Jacks - 30 (up 5)
Low Plank Oblique - 88 (up 12)

So happy with those improvements. The globe jumps are hard because by the time I get to them my legs are already fatigued. And power jacks! Holy moly!

So far I love these workouts. I haven't gotten through one all the way without stopping before the water break! hahaha I am pushing my body to the limit and dripping with sweat each time! Loving it!

So far the Max workouts are crazy! I also started just the weight portion of Chalean Extreme. I am losing weight in a completely different way since I had my baby. So I need muscle tone to tighten it all back up again.

Feels great to lift weights again though.

I am also going for little runs with my son in his jogging stroller when the weather is nice. Running seemed to be the only thing that helped me lose fat on my lower body. And I return to work in 2 1/2 months! Eeek! Can't believe how fast maternity leave went!

Lots of changes happening...all for the good. Some very tough but I am getting tougher each day so I can handle it. Looking forward to what tomorrow brings.
