OK, well called a friend of mine who I knew had a training business going and asked if he knew anyone that I could call for some coaching to get back into a routine. "How about tomorrow?" this is what I heard on Monday afternoon. And uh, uh, what could I say? Why wait yet another day when I could get moving immediately no more excuses.
Tuesday morning I kept waking up hour after hour a little afraid I'd miss the 7 am appt. Well, I was here exactly 7 - and there he stood. David was waiting. "How about some cardio?" - well gulp. OK... then, let's get on the mat for a couple exercises - gulp! Well, I made it through that 45 minutes. The treadmill, the bike, then the mats. I felt great the rest of the day.
Now Weds am... I'm sore - very sore. When I move different directions, new pain surfaces all over. I am wondering how long I will be sore KNOWING that it's been many months since I pushed myself even at his "beginner" level. I'm at work, glance at my cell phone and then, find a text from David "how are you doing today - do some cardio"... I answer "I'm so sore". Again he comes back with another comment, "don't forget to stretch and get off your chair!"
Yes, I sit all day at a desk, talk on the phone and answer the hundreds of emails coming my way. Do i get up and stretch - no!, Do I get out and walk around - not usually. So, when I got home today, my husband found my on the bedroom floor. "What are you doing?" he asks. I'm S-T-R-E-T-C-H-I-N-G..... yes, I did it and now I feel better. Tomorrow (after a day of rest) - more cardio! And so... the cycle begins!!!!
