Dad's Legacy

Wednesday, June 19, 2013

It may not look like what you expect at a funeral, but a man full of love and life asked us to celebrate together. And that is what we did. Here are the 7 children with my Mom after the reception following the funeral. There were tears, but also smiles and laughter. What he has bequeathed us is a legacy of love and caring. And we know he continues to love and watch over us still.
Thank You, Dad.

Boy, he wasn't kidding about Hawaiian shirts, was he?! I'm so glad he had such a wonderful send off. I'm sure it couldn't have been better had he directed it himself. You all did him proud.

Sorry for your loss. I love the picture, you've celebrated his life and remembered all the good and happy times with your Dad. At my Dad's funeral, we sang, with tears, his football team song as he'd been a supporter all his life. I miss him so much. emoticon
