Barefoot Running and Salad

My calves finally healed from all the pain and soreness last week. So, I decided to take it slow, even though when I am actually jogging, I feel fine and want to keep going. But, my calves don't let me know they hurt until the jog is over.
So, yesterday, jogged "barefoot" 1/2 mile, that's it. No warm up, no cool down, just slow jog 1/2 a mile and went home. Today, I took two pairs of shoes. Barefoot (minimal shoewear) ran 1/2 mile. Then changed shoes to my supportive saucony's to walk 1 mile (otherwise, my knees hurt).
Day 9 of Eat to Live. Haven't been perfect. but, I find that when I don't scarf down lots of fruits veggies, the one cup of beans, 1 oz of raw nuts, I want to eat a lot of junk. Getting very acquainted with the cheap blender (kale, frozen blackberries, banana, almond milk and water was today's smoothie). Don't love it, but my body feels pretty good. I feel like I can breathe better, if that makes any sense. I am really relaxed. Before doing this Eat to Live thing, I felt like my heart pounded more and I was tense (either exhausted or hyper).
So, going ok right now. yea!
