6/19/13.....books, videos, websites, oh my

Wednesday, June 19, 2013

I am one of the many that looks at as may "diets" in whatever format i can. I read books, look at exercise videos, go to different sites, etc. if it sounds interesting or doable, and it doesn't cost me my retirement, i have probably bought it. following the plan???????????? NAH. i spent $ on it, isn't that enough? i am helping the economy. LOL
at the beginning of May (last month), i realized i had reached my breaking point with worrying about calories, foods, drinks, etc. I gave up on ALL of it. I want to lose weight, but i realize i want to be healthy more, mostly mentally. I am tired, literally, of CONSTANTLY thinking about calories, good and bad foods, portions, etc. so, i gave up on all that.
i am doing mindful eating. thinking about what i want, when i am satisfied, etc. it's amazing how much less i think about food and drink. i still have a ways go to, but my checking account isn't as light. I still have some sites that i have paid for, but once those current memberships expire, i will not be signing up.
I will be healthy by eating good food, stop eating when i am satisfied, and walking as much as possible.
THAT'S the next weight loss craze in my house, i can see it now. and it doesn't me extra $.

NOW..................what do to with all the books, DVDs, and websites? donate to charity? LOL

Honestly that's a great idea! For some people focusing on eating exact portions and counting calories to the max can even make them hungrier! You have to do what is best for you, and if you think mindful eat will be better for you then that's what you should do! Good luck reaching your goals!
