My Father spent some time telling me 'it could be worse' with my son. So did some other people. I know a woman who lost her son and that isn't something that you ever get over. I don't talk to her very much about my woes with AJ for this reason but I considered her loss while contemplating the 'it could be worse' point of view.
The storm has blown over.
I canceled my overtime for today and after work last night we went to see Man of Steele. This is the first Superman I have ever liked even though I fell asleep through much of it. That wasn't the movie's fault.
First of all, this Superman is hot. He's not handsome as previous Superman's have been. He's H O T - HOT.
I also enjoyed what would have been considered the back story. Even in the older Superman movies my favorite part was how he got to Earth and the fate of Krypton.
In this movie, Superman doesn't start out as a journalist with only a pair of black rimmed glasses between him and Lois Lane. Thank God.
Oh, and his costume isn't leotard and tights but a blue steel colored scaley looking material that makes him look like .... The Man of Steele .... Thumbs up! I like Swan Lake but don't necessarily need my superheroes to look as though they're about to do a tombe.
Also, the special effects were great. Superman's takeoff rocks. Yes, these things do matter. In the old movies (even the most recent one) his flying looked ... how do I say this ... weak?
I am going to see my therapist today. THANK GOD!!!
My sinuses are clogged and I am feeling kind of sick. I'm not sure what that is from. I also have a headache. Just noticing these things ..... wouldn't be surprised if i made myself sick with my antics .....
Okay then, will commence my doing nothing but reading plan.
Have a great day.
