Runners often have a mantra that they use to motivate them when they are running.
I've tested out a few in the past, but never felt that I had one that was, well, ..... Me!
But this morning, while running a speed workout, it came to me out of the blue:
UPRIGHT AND STRONG
When I get tired, I remind myself to quit looking down. I tell myself that I can do it, I am strong. Well the "upright and strong" just fit on my run today, and I knew as soon as I started saying it over in my head that I had found "my" mantra.
This is also how I try to live my life, my walk with God, my community responsibility, my model behavior to my children, my work ethic - yes, it is something I can relate to.
My mantra: Upright and Strong!
