I'm Not Sure What To Make of This One

Tuesday, June 18, 2013

I talk to my grand daughter a couple times each week. She'll be 8 soon and in the 3rd grade so she is rapidly growing up. When she visited a few weeks ago she was amazed I knew who One Direction and Taylor Swift were. She's going to be tested this fall for advanced placement - in the third grade. She was telling me what score she needed to get to be placed in the class. Then she asked me what my advanced placement scores were. I asked her if she wanted some ice cream.

So this afternoon right around supper time she called to tell me all about her day at vacation bible school. She colored a lot and they made paper mache bowls to use in a service at the end of the week. As she summed up her day she let me know about the bible story they learned today.

"Pappy," she began with the solemn tone only a 7 year old could muster, "Today were heard the story Jesus told about the two men."

"Which two men were those?" "I asked her.

"You know, the Pharisee and the Republican."

I'll just leave it there for ya.

Love this story! God is so faithful to answer our prayers. Sometimes it's in a big way and sometimes, it's the just little things, the little annoyances, that he works for good!

LOL!!!!!! My son used to do the same when encountering a word he was not familiar with. He would try to make sense out of what he considered nonsense. Thus, his toy which was Quasimodo became Queasy Motor. My husband thought it was hilarious.

    Kids say the funniest things.

Today when I sneezed I said 'excuse me' then my 4 year old grandson asked me if I had farted.

I am so happy that you enjoy your granddaughter so very much. They are such a blessing.
