One year cancer free!

Tuesday, June 18, 2013

The middle of June was my last chemo treatment one year ago today. I did not find out I was in remission until December 2012, but I figure when the treatment ended, I was cancer free then but it took months of waiting for the chemo and radiation to leave my body before they could run the tests to see if it had worked.
I had Stage 3a, adenocarcinoma, lung cancer and today I am still cancer free and doing good! What a miracle and a blessing!
I found out in October 2011 that I had cancer, and in January 2012, they gave me an average of about 15 months to live if the treatment didn't work. I also stopped working in January so I could start treatment, and in January 2013 I was back to work at my old job. God has been so good to me!

emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon I know that feeling to be told you are cancer free. Dec this year I will be cancer free for 5 years from breast cancer. I can't count the years for the last 4 cancers that I had. It all started back when I was 34 years old. Now I am 68 going on 69 and thankful I am still here to help others get through this nasty stuff.
