Trying to deal with pain

I normally wear an orthotic for a fallen arch. Recently my foot dr took it to be repaired. They handmade me a makeshift one in the meantime. It's going to take about five more weeks before I get mine back. I have quite a bit of pain when walking right now, but I don't want to give it's working. I worry that if I stop I'll either stop losing or gain it all back. I just can't give up at this point.

    Chair exercises are the way to go in the meantime. It is safer for your back, your legs and your hips. You may even find that you find the change a fun experience :-)

  emoticon I agree about the chair exercises. I do some of them and I get a very good workout. I am so sorry you are in pain right now when walking.

    emoticon So sorry! Chronic pain is terrible. Have you tried any of Spark People's chair workout videos? They may help you stay active until you can get back on your feet.
