I have an exercise-related injury. Ouch. I think it was the sumo squats that did it...I was trying to push myself and I do believe I pushed a bit too hard. I pulled something in the hip area. By dinnertime yesterday all I could do was lurch about like a zombie. It's better today, but I think I am making today my day off from exercise.
The off day was supposed to be tomorrow: I have curriculum meetings all day. It will be eight hours of mind-numbing boredom, and I have doubts about my ability to get revved up for an hour of weight-lifting fun afterwards. But there it is. I spent today doing laundry and knitting. I'm trying to get a project done for Thursday night, and I'm pretty sure that tomorrow I will want to knit almost as much as I want to exercise. It's a bit of a daunting task: a 12-foot long Dr. Who scarf for a friend of the Dude. It takes me more than a month to do and it's a mile worth of yarn. Really. It's big.
Thursday will mark two years smoke free for me and the Dude. I'm pretty proud of that. It's a much better anniversary to commemorate than yesterday, which would have been my eighteenth wedding anniversary. I don't miss him. I miss the house that I had to give up, though. Never forgiven him for that.
But, it's a beautiful day today, I got a lot accomplished, and I may take an extremely leisurely stroll after dinner.
